George Hulbert and this deponent, after the deponent had bought the lease of the said Browne and Langham and made a lease thereof vnto the said Hulbert and Parker for allmost all the tearme of the said deponent in for the said Taverne called the goulden Lyon, and that the said Sir Nicholas ffortescue did enter into the said boarde vnto the said deponent 2100 for the said three hundred pounds, and the the said Samuel Clarke this deponent and the two p[ar]ties Hulbert and Parker did enter into the said boarde with the said Sir Nicholas as shewethes as this deponent hath forably depose to the third Inter and further to this Inter this deponent Canot depose. To the 5th Inter this deponent depose and sayeth that the Note nowe shewed vnto him this deponent at for the tyme of this his examinac[i]on and wherevppon he nowe subscribed his name (ympertunize an Accompte betweene him this deponent and the said George Hulberte and John Parker was written with this deponent nowe hade and subscribed by him this deponent And this deponent further depose and sayeth that the sume of fifty pounds made in the Wells Wells his goods from the yeare of Miche till the 21th of June last in the said Note is expressed to this deponent best remembrance , which said some of w[hi]ch is for the sake of was payed by this deponent w[i]th the said Wells for ad on the behalfe of the said Sir Nicholas ffortescue and was after the said lease made by the said deponent Wells vnto the said Hulbert and Parker the said some of w[hi]ch is was allowed by them vnto this deponent to yppon the said Accompte in the said Note expressed. To the 6th Inter this deponent depose and sayeth that at the request of the said Sir Nicholas ffortescue the this deponent did move the said deponent Wells to take in the said three hundred pounds, about five Monethes before the said say Monethes was expyred, by w[hi]ch motion of this deponent the said deponent Wells exare Consente, and the said this within shorte tyme after this deponent did paye the said three hundred pounds as the Considerac[i]on for the use of the vnto for the for the forbearance thereof vntill the said Monye was soe payed by this deponent vnto the said deponent by the direction of the said Sir Nicholas ffortescue. After w[hi]ch some of 300li. he received by the said deponent Wells and the 2 Boude deluted vpp to be Cancellled, the said deponent Wells payed or caused to be payed the said 300li. as his owne Money as for his owne vse and behoofe vnto the said Browne and Langham for and in Considerac[i]on of all their Interest as right in the said Taverne called the goulden Lyon, accordinge vnto an Indenture of bargayne and sale made betweene the said Browne and Langham on the one p[ar]te and the said deponent Wells on the other the head to be shewed forth.
